Today only the wood is recycled, which leaves 99 kg over the same 25 years: 66% less. Once foam and textile recycling arrives, 12 kg remain: 96% less. This is our calculation, made for our application to the EU LIFE programme (2026).

Respect for the planet

Ordinary sofas die of small things.

A torn armrest, a stained seat, one sagging cushion, and the whole sofa goes. Ours lives as long as its frame, which is designed for 25 years or more. Long enough for more than one home.

  1. No glue between the layers.

    Frame, padding and cover are joined mechanically, not glued or stapled. Each layer comes off by hand, quickly and without damage.

  2. Wash the cover. Or change it.

    Covers come off and go into the machine. When one wears out, you fit a new one yourself.

  3. We renew the padding.

    Only the worn foam layer is replaced, so the foam goes about twice as far. Send the element to our factory by courier, or take it to an authorised partner near you. It comes back as good as new.

  4. Minutes, not hours.

    On ours, renewing an armrest's padding takes 5 to 10 minutes. On an ordinary sofa, it means 2 to 3 hours of re‑upholstery. Materials aside, the repair costs far less.

  5. It ends up as clean materials.

    In the EU consultations on furniture ecodesign, we argue that every sofa should come apart like this. And we have applied for an EU LIFE grant to take this design to the whole industry.

The Founder

A simple frustration. An obsessive answer.

Evervel began in summer 2025. My family moved into a new home, and I went looking for a sofa.

What I found was a broken industry. Endless choices. Months of waiting. Pieces designed to fail. Or premium prices with nothing behind them but a logo.

I'm an entrepreneur. I've spent twenty years building lean, automated businesses. I knew there was another way to build a furniture company. One that respected the buyer's time, intelligence and freedom. And one that didn't fill landfills.

I spent six months in intensive R&D. A circular modular sofa, designed from first principles. What you see on this site is the result.

Evervel is being built with one founder, a small core team and modern AI tooling. Proof that thoughtful, beautiful, durable products can come from compact, focused operations.
